I made a trip out to the shop at Chris's place today. Whoa. What an excellent place. Any woodwork is in good hands with all the space and tools they have available. I'm just plain impressed.Jake showed me a neat infrared lamp that they use to get the paint ready for stripping. Apparently the heat basically causes the paint to come up right out of the wood and make it "easy" to scrape off.
The windows are looking really, really good. I'm so glad we didn't toss any of the old windows. The heart pine has held up quite well through the years. Most of the glass came out fine.
